3 daysSdoughtie (480): Another issue is, the e57 file has all of the photospheres inside of it. It is possible to extract those and use them elsewhere. I would just purchase the e57 file instead of the matterpak except the e57 seems to have a lot of noise and is not as sharp as the .xyz file. I suspect that the .xyz file is generated from the model rather than the scan data. Anyone know how to get the e57 as sharp as the .xyz file?

I have had the Pro3 for almost 2 years and have never had an issue until yesterday. I have used the camera in the winter and in the blazing heat without any issues before.

Not sure how well it will scan in a hole since you won’t get much data up and down having the walls so close. I have an iphone 14 Pro Max and haven't had a problem with other things attached to it. It scans and puts the scans in the wrong room. I'm in the process of seeing it it develops okay, just wondering if that was a problem. Also, it hangs up when it's scanning and I have to either turn the camera off or my iphone off and restart.

10 daysTaylorC (12): OK,I was able to get unstuck. I had to remove the middle post from the tripod, remove the rubber cap at the bottom of the middle post to see inside the post. There is a bolt head at the base of the middle of where the camera rests. This bolt is a 13mm and you will need at the least a 12" extension of a socket wrench. Doing this will remove the middle post from the camera leaving the plate on the camera. I will be getting a quick release...
