2 yearsGETMYVR (1968): It's a good question. For most bedrooms, the living room and hallways I ahoot about chest level. Once I get in the bathroom I'm probably about 1 ft above the vanity. Also, when you do bathrooms it's good to do a second low shot right into the bathroom. For kitchens I bring it up a little bit higher, 5.5' because everybody wants to see the countertops. When I do 360 scans outside I bring it up about 5 ft. 5 to 6 ft.

I'm going with iGuide. Cupix is still not quite there yet (but has every single bit of potential) and GeoCV is only available in New York (from what I understand). Then again, if a client hates Matterport, they'd hate on GeoCV a bit more.

I'm a big fella, but lifting and moving a camera 200-300 times can give you a pain in the biceps. You also very seldom have to re-level the camera. I highly recommend a dolly with big wheels.

I went and tried cleared the OG data for the provided URL (using the process noted in an earlier post) and it should have been share-able with the correct image....but isn't. Likely this is because there appears to be a hidden redirect built into Matterport...

Besides a sunk in living area become its own floor, we have also seen a floor of a split level home become an extension of the first floor. From my discussion with Matterport on the issue, they are tweaking their processing algorithms to prevent/reduce the occurrences of wrong floor issue. Back up your iPad scans so you can resubmit them later. Until then, turning of the floors is the best solution.

At the end of the day, its all about lead capture. I met with one of the countries largest real estate brokers here and they were trying to work out how much it cost for them to back out of a deal they signed with a 360 photo company because they liked the Matterport captures so much better. 360 photos have terrible problems with fish-eye; the photo is projected on to a 3D sphere...
