Checking used Matterport camera serial numbers for usage8861

| I've been looking at used Pro 2 cameras for sale and was wondering if anyone knew whether or not you could check with Matterport on how many scans a camera has done by the serial number. Most of the descriptions say "only used for a few scans...Like New". Would be nice if there were a way to confirm that before purchasing. | ||

| If you contact Matterport tech support, they can produce a report that shows the Model Name, Model Sweep Count and Model URL. The sweep count I'll take as the number of spins the camera made for a space. I did note that the report showed several models that I duplicated for various reasons, but they used the same "sweep" count. One in fact was a duplication by Dee a Matterport tech who fixed a transition problem.  In other cases, I duplicated a space to remove scans, but the count was the same for both. I don't know if Matterport will give you these numbers if you send them a serial number, but, the owner could certainly do so and send you the report. Hope this helps. Scott |
