| Matterport 3D Tour by We Get Around Atlanta Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod | More about my Art Project Hi All, Are you using a Ricoh Theta Z1 and Matterport Pro2 3D Camera to scan a space? I could use your help ... I may have the opportunity to scan a space to add people like I have done before here, here, and here. What I am wondering is if I should: 1. Scan the entire space first with a Matterport Pro 3D Camera 2. Add people using the Ricoh Theta Z1 Questions 1. Any reason that I could not do the two-step workflow above? 2. Quality of the Ricoh Theta Z1 shots added to the Matterport 3D Tour? The objectives of using the Ricoh Theta Z1 would be: 1. Speed up Capture of the people shots 2. The more efficient I am with the people; the more times they can appear in the tour 2. Avoid stitching errors if people move (multiple people in each 360ยบ) Additional thoughts? Best, Dan |

| I am getting one in a few days for a price slightly lower than Ricoh RRP. It is US$954 with a current exchange rate. You can buy it here https://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/ricoh-theta-z1 May be it is not worth for customers outside of Australia as I do not think they will ship it for free worldwide. However comparing to $2200 AUD on ebay from Japan it is much better at $1349 AUD. Almost half of it :-) It shows as pre-order but I got a call from them a few days ago asking to pay the balance. I have just paid it and they are going to ship it to me today. |
