Giraffe360: AI Features Tested in Public in The Kitchen

Published by: We Get Around Network | YouTube

I sat down with Janis Beinerts, Head of Product at Giraffe360, to talk about something most companies keep behind closed doors: experimental AI features tested out in the open. Giraffe360 recently launched The Kitchen, a public sandbox where new AI concepts get released monthly and real photographers and agents test them before anyone knows whether they will ship. If you want a look at where real estate content is heading, this conversation is worth your time.

The Kitchen works by putting rough ideas, what Janis calls recipes, in front of users for feedback that then drives the development pipeline. He walked me through several betas live. Cinematic Shot is a still to video generator that brings a single image to life with AI motion, sunrise and sunset time lapse effects, and staging transitions. It was the standout winner from the April release and has already graduated into the core Giraffe360 Content Studio. We also looked at Cinematic Tour, which stitches up to 20 images into a minute long clip, and helicopter flyby and orbital views built from existing Google Earth 3D data rather than a drone.

We spent real time on AI virtual staging for panoramas, where you can declutter, restage, change styles, apply twilight sky, or write a custom prompt against a 360 image. Janis was candid about the trade-offs, including file compression on downloads and the guardrails that stop the AI from removing walls, windows, and doors, a problem I have seen firsthand on other platforms that delete steps and stoves. We talked through practical use cases too, from venue shoots staged multiple ways to residential listings shown both empty and furnished so buyers can picture the potential.

The sneak peek that stopped me was a 3D Gaussian splat walkthrough. Instead of hopping from one scan point to the next, you walk through the property like a video game, with keyboard movement, collision detection so you cannot pass through a table, jumping, and an autoplay mode that carries you through the space. It is generated from the Pro camera's double scan capture. This is the direction I believe 3D tours across the whole industry need to go.
