On June 10 (Luna Ultra launch day), DJI filed two US lawsuits accusing Insta360 of design and utility patent infringement on the Luna series covering subject tracking, gimbal control, stabilization, camera lock, and Osmo Pocket 3 design language. Within 24 hours, Insta360 fired back with two countersuits asserting five utility patents on gimbal stabilization, panoramic imaging, telemetry overlay, location-based imaging, and video stabilization, naming DJI's Osmo Pocket series, Ronin and RS, Osmo Mobile, and the newly launched Osmo 360. Insta360 says DJI cited at least two of those patents in its own filings years ago.
