In this video, we are going to scan this townhouse using Inside Maps. And Inside Maps sent me their Hero phone mounting device. And so we're going to put the phone in and then we're going to start scanning. The first thing we're going to do is load inside maps and we're going to create a project. And we will call this—actually I have to look up the address so bear with me one minute here—called call this Saulsality, default organization. We'll try. 00:01:02 Didn't really capture the address here. So, we'll type it in. That's good. We'll hit next. We're using the iPhone. Select package type. Package includes all the items from the standard package plus realistic 3D model. We'll do pro. Um, so HDR photos, floor plan, standard, and pro. I'm going to hit pro and hit add. And we'll do a curb shot. So, let me put create a curb shot room where the floor is. Okay. Okay. So, we will do add a floor and we'll call this first floor. 00:02:06 I'm going to come outside and try a curb shot. It's not quite a curb. Let's see here. Heat. Heat. So the next step is to put the battery in and simply goes in there and it should turn on automatically which it is. Press button on Hero device to connect. All right. Make sure your phone is clean. Slide it in. It's a snug fit for the 17 Pro Max. Okay. Start now. And kind of see what it's doing here. Get my shadow out of the shot. All right, let's do—let's take this out real quick. 00:04:37 Here's the front yard. Okay, we're going to go inside now. We're going to do new room. We're going to call this foyer. Leave the door open. We'll connect it to the front yard. And again, little tight tight squeeze here. We'll add a spin. And then we'll hit the start now and come out of the way. And it's still scanning, I think. No, looks like it's done. Okay, we'll do—I'm going to do finish scanning. All right. So, now I'm going to do another foyer shot because there's a 00:06:31 couple doors here that I want to scan this time. We'll start now. There's a couple doors. There's a bathroom and a closet. There's a doorway here. And so, I want to capture all that. So, we're just going to put all this in the foyer. Get out of the way. All right, we're going to add a scan. Now I'm going to stand in this scan and I'm just want—I just want to time it to see how long it takes. So this is one that we're going to delete. Okay, so 32 seconds. Not bad. We're 00:08:25 going to delete and take the current one. Yes. And we're going to start in 10 seconds. So 32 seconds isn't bad at all. Can't tell. I mean, it's still going, but I'd like to be able to hear some sort of confirmation beep. And I don't know if I'm going to try to see if my phone's on silent. Actually, I can't get to the button. Wait, can I get to the down button? The— All right. So, we're going to do new room. We're going to call this bathroom. And it's connected to the foyer. 00:09:44 I'm going to add a spin like that. So confirmation beep would be helpful. Okay. I have this mounted on my ProMaster Specialist SP532C and it's about 4 and 1/2 ft tall, I'd say. We're going to go back to the foyer. And we're going to add a spin. And we're going to capture this closet. Now, they sent me two batteries. These are the Samsung INR18650s. Um, and one of them was about 50% full. This one, I'm not sure how full it is. I did try to charge one of them before 00:11:35 I came here today. So, hopefully we'll be able to um get through this whole townhouse with the batteries that we have. All right, we're going to do a new room and we're going to call it a closet. And it's connected to the forier. Put it right there and spin. Get out of the way. It's a beautiful day out today. Great views. Better views upstairs. Okay. Looks like you tried to capture a room that was darker. Well, camera. Let's see. Let's do delete and retake. To the credit of the Inside Matt's team, 00:13:22 this is a very quiet rotator. Barely hear that it's on. All right, so we're done with the foyer shots. Um, now we'll do the kitchen. And so I'm going to do um either side of the doorways like we typically do when we're scanning. Go to kitchen here. And it's connected to the foyer. We're going to add a spin. Hop out of the way. And we'll add another scan here. Now, this is my very first scan with this product. So, it'll be interesting to see how quick we get through this townhouse. 00:15:13 Um, just looking at the notes here, I have about 1,278 square ft is what it's listed as. So, we'll see how accurate that is. Let's do add a scan. Pick up mark and hide. I think it's done. I can kind of—if if I'm listening really carefully, I can kind of hear it. It's a little challenging though. All right, so new room. We're going to call this um it's kind of a combined living room dining room. Um but we'll call it just call it the dining area. Dining area. Perfect. And it's connected 00:16:30 to the kitchen. You can only select one that it's connected to. So we'll hit confirm and we'll hit add spin and start now. I'm going to hide. Make it a little easier to listen in. All right, we'll add a new scan. Show the process again. Okay, we'll call this living room. I'm going to duck because there's a mirror right there. Let's do this outside patio. And I might actually raise tripod a little bit. Call this outside. We'll call it a This will be a balcony. 00:19:10 And I'm going to set it on 10 seconds and then run out of the way here. Head in the bathroom. Wait for 30 seconds. Okay. >> [clears throat] >> So, we're done with downstairs. Now, I'm going to assume we're going to treat these stairs like we would on any other space. So, we're going to go to—we're going to drop this back down to our typical height. We're going to go finish scanning and go back to living room. We'll do—let me just look real quick. Yeah. Okay. So, we'll do 00:20:57 add spin and start in 10 seconds. So, we're going to do bottom of stairs, top of stairs like we typically would in any other type of 3D2 that we're providing. >> [snorts] >> I don't know if I should go out cuz it been 30 seconds. Yep. Looks like it's dead. Okay, we're going to do—We're going to go backwards actually and go to cuz that was all on the first floor. So now we're going to add a floor and head upstairs and call this hallway. So add a floor. Second floor. 00:22:40 We're going to do a bunch of scans here because we got doors closed. I'm going to do some with doors open. can't tell. All right, then we're going to add a scan with the closet door open. Okay, we're going to do couple more shots in the hallway cuz we are again doing um either side of the doorway. And we have this room. We have a bathroom and the primary bedroom. So, we want to capture on either side of the doorway. Okay, there's one. There's two. So, while I'm doing this, one thing 00:26:40 I didn't point out there, there's a power button on here that it's a button used to connect, um, the phone to the device. There's also a USB U a connection right here. And I asked um Inside Maps if it can be used to charge the phone and they said, "Yeah, in a pinch you can, but they don't recommend it." Okay. We're going to do continue with capture cuz we want to do that one. They don't recommend it, cuz you can see the cable in the shot. So, that's just a little FYI for you. If 00:27:20 your batteries run low, I suspect I don't know how long these um Samsung batteries last, but I would suspect that this would probably die before the phone. All right. So, when I'm doing bedrooms, um, I usually do three scans when they're empty like this. I'll do right on the inside of the door. I'll do a second one kind of in the center of the room. And then I'll do a third one with the closet door open. And that's what we're going to do here. Do bedroom. And we're going to do 00:28:26 add a spin. Think I can hide. We'll do start in 10 seconds. I can get out of the reflection. Come over here. Get out of the way. All right, add a scan start now. Okay, the closet. Add a scan. I'm going to start this one in 10 seconds so I can get out of the way. Okay, closet's done. Do the bathroom. And do new room. Bathroom is connected to the hallway. Confirm. We will add a spin and start in 10 seconds. Okay, off to the bedroom that we're going to do new room and we're going to hit 00:32:33 Wonder if there's a primary. Yep. Primary bedroom. It's connected to the hallway. We're going to add a scan. Start in 10 seconds. And we'll do a couple scans in here. Do one right here. Oh man. The clouds are coming in. It was clear earlier. Um, still a great view nonetheless. Look up Saulsalito, California. S A U S A L I T O. Um, Saulsalito and Tiburon. It's right across from It's right across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Now, we'll do a couple extra. I'm going 00:34:42 to do one in the center here, and then I'm going to do one by that doorway, and then one in the closet. So, add a scan. Start in 10 seconds. Okay. Scan back down. Okay, last one we're going to do is the closet. We're going to hit a new room and we're going to do primary bathroom and it's connected to the primary bedroom. All right, there you have it. That took about just under 40 minutes to do, which isn't bad. Um, we're going to hit finish scanning. Just want to open the spins on the 00:39:50 second floor and look at should be two primary bathrooms. Yeah, there is. There's two spins. One and two. Okay, perfect. So, I'm going to take this out of the spinner. We started the battery on this device at 50% and we're only down to 46, which is really good. Um, hit the back button. We're going to go backwards. Now, I think we have everything done. So, we'll hit review and submit. And then it says two floors, two bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's really two and a half. That's fine. Kitchen 32 spins. 00:40:42 We're going to hit finish project. And then we're going to enable mobile data upload. Um I didn't have any of this on for use with a wide angle photo capture. Allows the user to preview position of the rotating phone again. All right, data native HDR. Sure, I'll leave that off. All right, I'm going to leave all these alone, actually. And then, it's uploading. So, we're at 4%. And I probably won't bore you with how long it takes, but you can see it's going pretty quick. Um, I'm in a 00:41:25 decent cell phone area. It's probably quicker just to, you know, wait for Wi-Fi. So yeah, we're already at 10%. I'm not going to keep watching this, but um that's how you capture a townhouse with the inside maps hero device. Um I don't really know how to turn this off. I guess I can hit the button I'm not going to do that. So, I just take out the battery. There you go. 15%. All right, guys. Leave a comment below, like, share, and subscribe this video. Um, and curious to hear what you think. 00:42:17 One of the next videos is going to be me reviewing the finished product. So, thanks for watching.
