| Sorry, was extremely frustrated on my earlier post and will be making a video for all my clients and contacts by the weekend. Here's my take. Every photographer and agent should be reaching out to Zillow in any way possible. This isn't about weather you have clients using Matteport, this is about Zillow deciding what tools you're allowed to use to market your property. It's very comparable to the Jimmy Kimmel fiasco and free speech. Wether you agree or disagree the government shouldn't have intervened. Wether you use Matterport or not, Zillow should not be the deciding factor in the tools we or agents use to market properties. Costar has clarified their position enough to satisfy the CRMLS to reverse their decision. Zillow should have followed suit by now if this was really about the ToS. This is an obvious power play to see what they can get away with. What's next, only Zillow floor plans, Zillow approved photographers? If this is allowed to stand everything else they restrict will be gravy. |

| @GlennTremain Glenn, I clicked on that listing link you provided in your post. There are only property pages in the three links in the Facts and Features Interior section. Zillow appears to not only NOT be giving premium placement to Matterport tours, they are not displaying any direct links to Matterport tours. The only way I am seeing Matterport tours on Zillow is when they are included as a media asset in a single page website for a listing, with the page link in the Facts and Features Interior section. I contend it's not CoStar but is Zillow who is changing the rules here. |
