| So, if you are a staff photographer for CoStar, you sign away your rights to copyright ownership of what you shoot. That's not a big deal to a neophyte photographer, learning the trade. But it's not going to appeal to talented, established photographic artists. And, bottom line, top agents know that the "first impression" that everyone has of each listing is the media, photos, videos, virtual tours. My clients boast about my work during listing presentations. (they may not mention me, but they boast about the quality of media marketing that THEY provide to their listings.) Agents that look at photos as nothing special, may be attracted to the Homes.com deal. But it does reinforce the principal that each of us must strive to be the best in our region. |
