| I don't think I have a first gen camera. I got mine at the beginning of November, and the serial number begins with "B." I'm hoping Matterport's announcement of the single-level view didn't go out just to the 2nd gen camera owners. If so, forget I said anything. |

| @WeinigerHomes Here are a few differences. The newer camera has: 1. small digital display panel a. how much camera battery remains b. how much time for a recharge c. what action is happening now (scanning, transferring) 2. The Quick Release plate is built-in to the camera (On my shopping list of Matterport 3D Camera Gear and Accessories, you just need to buy the Sunwayfoto MAC-14 60mm Clamp that goes on your tripod. The newer camera already has the equivalent of the Sunwayfoto 45mm QR plate. Other differences? Dan |
