Has anyone used this:

=> High precision horizontal bubble Cardan level horizontal bubble

on top of a camera to level? Is there any reason why not to?

Thanks....a new member.

I added one to my Pro 2 with some double sided tape. Much easier to use than the tripod level. Didn’t seem to affect the camera at all. Have not tried on Pro 3 yet.

@Flashcutter the only issue with using a level like this if you place the camera at about eye level it is tuff to see this type of level since it is best viewed from the top. I do use a level but use one that can be viewed from the side.

Daslack…would love to see a pic of your leveler setup. I’m thinking a thin, rigid plastic mirror at a 45’ angle would allow visualization of the bubble.

I use a globuscope 2 axis level at tripod mount.

@HarlanHambright The mirror is a great suggestion. If I don’t set the tripod super high I am actually tall enough to see the bubble but it can be a little inconvenient, especially when I am in a tight spot. This was my first attempt to try something like this. That tripod mount that you posted looks like a great idea!
