I was asked the other day by a home inspector if the camera or scans, are capable of seeing heat loss. Which in turn means....infrared.

Thanks

Hi Barrie

No the MP camera can't see the type of IR that the home inspector is inquireying about. The MP camera does use IR for alignment that's why you can't use the camera outside if it can see the sun as that causes alignment problems with the camera.

There are several cameras that are design just to view IR when it comes to viewing heat loss. There's even an adaptor for the iPhone and Android from Seek Thermal that doesn a good job of viewing heat loss.

I hope that answers you question.
Best regards
Gary
