I've done about about 15 total scans, but compared to others I've seen posted by other professionals on this forum my dollhouse view could be cleaned up a little bit. Does anyone have any tricks etc? Is it a matter of more precise trimming? Thanks, |

Personally I've found using the window placements carefully and liberally helps. Make them bigger than they need to be and get them as close to the inside of the interior wall as possible. You can't eliminate the floating windows in the dollhouse view completely. I also found that placing a Trim line close to the exterior walls of the plan (the entire lengths of the house) makes for extra insurance in eliminating "hangers" and keeps a clean plan. If the plan has a lot of ceiling features (soffits, exposed beams, etc. there's nothing you can really do about that. Here's a plan I did yesterday. Check out the dollhouse and floor plan views. I'm pretty proud of this one and how clean it looks: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=W3ou6XMueaV Good luck to you! |

Stubacca, has pretty much covered everything. I also would make sure your trim lines overlap at the corners and the cleaner they are the better the overall doll house view. Ron |

Thanks for this discussion guys. I have just completed my first scan and hadn't realised there was a trim feature for the dolls house view. It was just what I was looking for this morning. I have 26 scans to complete in around 20 working days so will be over this in a week or so! Not really but a great learning curve for an amateur part time photographer. | ||

I have had clients complain about the "noise" of hanging window boxes showing up on the doll house view. It is especially bad when there are drapes around the windows. It seems that adjusting where I mark the windows has no effect on fixing this. I have tried adjusting the trim along the wall, but if I trim it too far in along the interior of the wall in order to eliminate the window boxes, then the wall turns black and the dollhouse view looks even worse. Unfortunately, I have to tell my clients that this "noise" is impossible to get rid of. |
