First Scan/Showcase417

Hey Everyone,

Finished my first scan today. THRILLED with the camera and process so far. I wanted to share my first scan and see if any veterans are willing to offer advice.

One of the bathroom mirrors caught the camera a few times. Is the mirror "tool" the way of advoiding this issue?
Also, does workshop allow you to remove shadows cast by the tripod?

Exciting to have the first one done, eh! Congrats

Unfortunately the mirror tool doesn't have that functionality. It is for assisting in creating a "cleaner" 3d model, along with the window and trim buttons. Best to try and position as best you can to keep it out of the mirror, but not always feasible.

Sadly no way to remove shadows from tripod in the workshop.

It's important that you know the limitations of the system, so you can effectively manage the expectations of you clients.

You get what you get from your scan. The only thing you can do after the fact is disable or delete individual sweeps from the model, and that's only useful for getting rid of sweeps that had to be closely spaced for alignment.

Good luck with your business!

Nice job Tim. Why on Tim's scan did it not think the step down was another floor? I've seen complaints posted here. Did MP change something?
