The new WGAN Find a Pro map is live at map.wegetaroundnetwork.com and the first jobs have come through it. One of them taught us something worth a minute of your time.

What happened

A 65,000 square foot commercial Matterport Pro3 job came in marked ASAP. It went out to a dozen pros in that market within seconds. Not one of them had a mobile number on file, so not one of them got a text. The emails sat. Three hours later, one pro had opened it.

The hirer was ready to pay for speed. The pros were ready to do the work. The gap was a phone number.

How the map reaches you

When a hirer posts a job, the map finds the pros whose service area covers the address and sends it to the best five matches. Everyone gets an email with a link to reply with a quote. Paying members also get a text, with the job reference, what they want captured, where, roughly how big, and when they need it. When a hirer accepts your quote, you get a second text with their contact details so you can call them right away.

Email is fine for a job that is flexible. For a rush job, the pro who replies first usually wins it, and that pro is the one who felt their phone buzz.

What to do now

Sign in to the WGAN Directory at directory.wegetaroundnetwork.com. On your dashboard, open the Get new jobs by text card, add your mobile number and tick the box. It takes a minute. The map syncs from the Directory, so the change reaches it within a few hours.

Texts go to US mobile numbers for now. Members outside the US still get every job by email, and international texting is on the list.

Even if you are on the free Access tier, add your number. When a hirer picks you, they get your phone and email the moment they accept your quote, and most want to talk the same day.

What your membership tier gets you on the map

Access (free): one pin on the map with a 50 mile service radius, jobs by email, your listing and reviews, and your contact details handed to any hirer who picks you.

Capture: up to three pins with a 100 mile radius each, text alerts for new jobs and accepted quotes, a Capture shield beside your name, and you hear about free jobs hours before Access pros do.

Elite: up to five pins with a 150 mile radius each, text alerts, your photo or logo as your map pin with a gold ring, an Elite shield, and the first look at every new job: Elite members see a job before anyone else and reply while the others are still waiting.

Network: for multi-city teams, up to 25 metros covered from one listing.

When a hirer searches an address, members whose service area covers it are listed ahead of non-members. Hirers see the shields, and they see “covers this address.” That is the whole pitch: be findable, be reachable, be first.

One more thing

Hirers can pay for Priority Match on an urgent job. Priority pins the job at the top of every pro’s inbox and texts the matched members. If your number is not on file, a Priority job near you is just another email.

Add your number. Turn on texts. The next rush job in your area should find you on your phone.
