![]() Matterport Pro3 Plus Package: $1,995 With a 24-Month Plan Matterport is selling the Pro3 Plus Package in its online store for $1,995 plus a subscription. That is the Pro3 Performance Kit, which lists at $4,495 on its own, bundled with a Professional Plan of 50 or more spaces on a 24-month term. For reference, the Pro3 camera alone is $3,995, so this puts the full kit at $2,000 less than the bare camera. The hardware discount is real. The commitment is too, so I ran the numbers for anyone here weighing it. What you get: the Matterport Pro3 LiDAR camera, removable batteries, soft carry case, hard carry case, backpack, tripod, quick-release tripod mount, door stops, charging kit and owner's manual. The camera specs are the same Pro3 we all know: accuracy of +/- 20mm at 10m, under 20 seconds per scan, 134.2 MP panos, and up to 100m of range in E57 output (20m per scan in processed models). The plan you have to take with it (24 months, same rate whether you pay monthly or upfront): 50 Spaces: $245 per month ($5,880 upfront) 75 Spaces: $345 per month ($8,280 upfront) 100 Spaces: $430 per month ($10,320 upfront) 150 Spaces: $585 per month ($14,040 upfront) 200+ Spaces: contact Matterport sales Those monthly rates match what Matterport charges today for the same Professional plans on annual billing, so you are not paying a markup on the subscription to get the cheaper camera. If you would otherwise pay month to month, the standard rates are $294, $414, $516 and $698, so the bundle rate is lower there too. The 24-month math at 50 Spaces: Pro3 Plus Package: $1,995 + $5,880 in plan fees = $7,875 Bought separately, plan on annual billing: $4,495 + $5,880 = $10,375 Bought separately, plan billed monthly: $4,495 + $7,056 = $11,551 So if you were going to carry 50 or more active spaces anyway, this saves $2,500 to $3,676 over two years. If you need fewer spaces, it gets thin fast. At today's rates, a full-price Performance Kit plus a 30 Spaces plan runs $8,455 over 24 months, so the bundle still saves $580. Against a 20 Spaces plan ($7,495) the bundle costs $380 more, and against a 10 Spaces plan ($6,655) it costs $1,220 more. Taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout. The fine print worth reading twice: the offer requires a 24-month subscription. You can upgrade at any time, but you can only downgrade or cancel after the 24 months are up, and the terms state no early termination. At the end of the 24 months the subscription renews on a 12-month term. Matterport also states that access to the service and the camera may be suspended for non-payment. The package is limited to one camera per online purchase, with multiple units going through sales. Hardware purchases carry Matterport's 30-day return policy. I did not see an end date for the offer on the page. One flag for existing subscribers: the page showed me a Plan Unavailable notice stating that, at this time, legacy plans cannot be upgraded to current plans, and pointing to sales for plan changes. If you are on an older Matterport plan, confirm with Matterport how this bundle would affect your existing account and pricing before you order. | If I buy another pro3 it practically guarantees the pro4 will be released the following month. | ||

| @vrephoto I'm not sold these discounts are because of a new camera coming out. I think them being axed off of Zillow is starting to really kill there business. Have to remember a lot of people were probably already paid up for an annual subscription when the news broke last year. So they wouldn't have lost customers overnight. I regret my Pro 3 purchase, almost all my clients but one just use Zillow tours now. And that one client isn't worth the subscription. | ||

| I posted on MOUG too but I will do the same here Comparing to my lease to own for 4 years with no deposit this Pro3 Plus package is much better assuming you have $1995 in your pocket. The lease did not need a deposit but I had to pay about $345AUD($245 USD) monthly for 48 months. Here you pay extra $85USD just for 24. So it is almost 3 times less in extra payment and 2 times less for a period. Not to mention that I still had to pay for my 30 spaces account extra $99 monthly. A bit of extra though: Your mistake you are trying to include full account cost for 24 months with a Pro3 Plus package. Actually you should just look at the difference with normal 50 subscription and Plus one. The difference is only $86/monthly ($159 vs $245) Even though one may argue if you've just got a new pro3 right away it is very unlikely to have any need subscribing to a 50 space account and can get away with just 20. It costs $69/monthly In that case you will be paying extra $176/monthly with a Pro3 Plus package. Still cheaper than my 4 years lease to own. |

| I agree with @JasonZ. This is a technology shift, not a discount cycle. From my own testing this year, Matterport is still the most practical tool for accurate floor plans and measurable spaces, but Gaussian splatting (3DGS) is clearly ahead on visual realism: reflections, glass, fine detail, natural light. Right now we are in the twilight zone between a setting star and a rising one. Before I locked into a 24-month plan, I would want to know what Matterport's next camera captures, and whether my existing spaces can be exported or carried forward to it. |

| Looking at the numbers, if you buy the Pro3 for $3,995 separately and don't need more than 30 Spaces, it actually works out a little cheaper over two years. And as mentioned before, the subscription prices have gone up too, at least for new customers. |

| Those who buy the camera with dollar signs in their eyes, have to see if they can fill up the 50 spaces. As an MSP, I've worked with clients who almost always have their own accounts. The unused spaces are good revenue for MP. If they say beyond 2000 scans are 6 spaces, what about so many tours that are barely 100 scans? Looks like an overpaid MBA is doing some serious math to push revenue. They've also silently rolled out the 10 space Pro plan at $100, which is three times the legacy charges. I found it interesting that MP can deactivate the hardware when someone fails to pay their monthly subscription at some point. Past 10 years or so, those who have lost the camera couldn't do anything about it. If the Pro4 gets released next year, wonder what happens to this Plus plan. Doubt if they'll exchange/upgrade like an Apple store would. |

| A fork is plausible: keep the Pro2/Pro3 line and the hosted Spaces for the installed base, and launch the splat camera as a separate product. The camera is the easy part, XGRIDS already ships one at $5K. The question is whether the new product arrives with new account terms or the old ones. Two practical questions for anyone who has read the Plus plan terms: can a Pro3 bought outright be deactivated for non-payment, or only units sold under the Plus plan? And do existing 10-space legacy plans keep their price at renewal, or move to the $100 tier? |
