If you shoot real estate drone work and want to know what it takes to feed a splatting workflow, this walks through the capture guide, the camera settings, and how the flight actually went on a real neighborhood lot. Giraffe360's capture guide calls for an upward spiral around one house: start low with the gimbal looking slightly up, capture every side, climb a little each lap, and gradually tilt the camera down toward the roof until you finish looking straight down. The guide suggests five to seven circles. For settings, it asks for 4K at 25 to 30 fps, a shutter speed of 1/500th or faster, the lowest ISO possible, locked exposure and white balance, focus on the house, one lens with no zoom, and no ND filter. I flew a DJI Mavic 2 Pro at the One Lake community in Fairfield, California, where homes surround a roughly 20 acre lake. I shot 4K 30 in manual with sunny white balance, f/4, 1/500th, and ISO 400. The houses here sit close together, so this lot is not the ideal subject, and I stayed only as low as I could without hitting anything. The full capture ran about 6 minutes and 30 seconds, and I finished with a few wider laps to give Giraffe360 more of the neighborhood to render. A couple of takeaways from the flight: keeping an orbit smooth while climbing and tightening toward the center by hand is harder than it sounds, but the end product came out good. My guess is Giraffe360 extracts stills from the video, which explains the fast shutter requirement. This is also where I wish DJI offered AI-generated flight paths, because I could describe this exact spiral in a sentence. Here is a link to the finished deliverable. Here is a link to the data. | (Commenting before watching video-apologies if this is covered) Can Giraffe360 also accept a ground capture video of the exterior to fill in the details? Lots of variation of that workflow seem possible, but not necessarily practice/feasible…at the moment. How would the Giraffe360’s splat appear on a listing or integrated with interior/exterior virtual tour. |

| @OrangeHill I am fairly certain its just drone video for now (since this is in Giraffe's Kitchen (beta). but I'd say based on this that it could be a sign of things to come as previously Giraffe360 has only offered indoor capture. I guess we should stay tuned. | ||
