Geo Week is a We Get Around Network Marketing Partner


Geo Week has announced its strategic partner lineup for the 2027 event, which runs February 23 to 25, 2027 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you work in reality capture, laser scanning, or any part of the built world where point clouds and maps overlap, this is the show where the surveying, geospatial, AEC, and 3D capture crowds all end up in the same hall.

The partner structure breaks into three groups. Event Partners are ASPRS and Reality Capture Network (RCN), and both bring their own conference programming, special events, and training sessions to the show. RCN is the one most WGAN members will recognize, since its focus sits squarely on scanning and reality capture workflows rather than pure GIS.

Industry Partners for 2027 are GISCI, ISPRS, MAPPS, NSPS, OGC, USGIF, USIBD, and WGIC. Behind those sit the Supporting Partners, which now number more than 185 organizations across six continents, including trade media, associations, user groups, cooperating events, government entities, and non-profits. USIBD is worth flagging for anyone doing as-built documentation, since its Level of Accuracy specification is the document a lot of scan-to-BIM contracts point back to.

New for 2027, Geo Week added two Utah organizations, UGIC (Utah Geographic Information Council) and SLUG (Salt Lake Users Group), tying the show into the local geospatial community in its host city. Women in GIS is also participating this year. Lora Burns, Marketing Manager at Geo Week, said "it takes a wide network of partners to truly represent the industry," which tracks with how wide the tent has gotten.
