Commercial UAV Expo 2026 Reveals Conference Program Shaped by Drone Operators

Commercial UAV Expo has announced the conference program for its 2026 event, taking place September 1 to 3, 2026 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada. The program features more than 50 sessions under the theme Actionable Insights and was built directly from feedback collected from commercial drone operators, pilots, surveyors, service providers, and enterprise drone program leaders earlier this year.

The 2026 program covers Energy and Utilities, Construction, Agriculture, and Infrastructure and Transportation, with practitioner-led sessions on Part 108 and BVLOS implementation, workforce development, AI and autonomy in field operations, and integrating aerial and ground-based data. Every session is led by an operator or decision-maker who has done the work, and the stated goal is for attendees to leave with workflows they can apply the following Monday.

"When we surveyed the commercial drone community about what they need from a conference, the message was consistent: practical content, grounded in what operators are actually doing," said Matt Collins, Content Manager, Commercial UAV News. "From BVLOS implementation and workforce development to AI in the field and sector-specific operations, the goal was always the same: send people home with something they can use the following Monday, and beyond."

The 2026 event also features co-located programming from DRONERESPONDERS, the public safety UAS event presented by AIRT (Airborne International Response Team), and an expanded Exhibit Hall with hundreds of solution providers showing airframes, software, sensors, and services. The Pilot Hub, presented by Pilot Institute, returns inside the Exhibit Hall with hands-on sessions and expert talks open to all attendees.

What attendees take home: a working understanding of Part 108 and BVLOS for daily operations; field-tested workflows from energy, AEC, transportation, and agriculture programs; proven approaches to integrating aerial and ground-based data; strategies for hiring, training, and growing a drone business; a grounded view of where AI and autonomy are deployable today; and safety practices drawn from real incident analysis.
