Eight months before launching the We Get Around Network Forum on 19 August 2014, I joined the fourth largest tech-startup hub in the United States, Atlanta Tech Village (ATV). I thought I was simply starting a virtual tour service provider business with some cool tech and I wanted to be among other tech entrepreneurs. On my first day at ATV, I met NinjaPost Founder Mike Wilt (@mikew). That conversation would shape the future of WGAN. With Mike’s guidance on how successful online communities operate, and with his forum-in-the cloud-hosting platform, NinjaPost, I was able to launch the Matterport User Group Forum (MUG) that morphed into the We Get Around Network Forum to be inclusive of all digital twin cameras, platforms and third-party services in our space. As the community grew, Mike customized NinjaPost features to support our WGAN membership tiers and marketing partnerships - capabilities that no other forum platform offered. That collaboration gave WGAN the flexibility it needed to scale from a handful of early adopters to: ▶ 9,500 Members in 149 countries ▶ 21,700 unique monthly visitors ▶ 105,000 posts among 19,000 topics The WGAN Forum continues to be hosted by NinjaPost today. we would not have been able to build or grow the We Get Around Network Forum without Mike, his technology or his encouragement. This Thanksgiving, I am especially thankful for my friend and colleague, NinjaPost Founder Mike Wilt, for making the We Get Around Network Forum possible for 11+ years. | Matterport Space by Dan Smigrod | Scanned with Matterport Pro1 Camera @Fathom3D Thank you for asking. Your wish is my command. When I shot this tour in 2014, the scans had to be one after the other this meant I had to wait for my muse to do outfit changes. If I was scanning this space today, I would shoot the entire space first and then "sprinkle" my muse. That would have meant I did not need her - and the make-up artist and stylist -to be present for all the connecting scan points. Happy Thanksgiving, Dan |
