WGAN Question of the Day

Question of the day for those that shoot residential real estate... do you allow your images to be used by more than just the agents (or who paid you)? such as a stager, would you allow them to use your images for free? or would you charge licensing fees for those additional parties?

I've ran into many situations where stagers "steal" images to use to promote their work... just curious how everyone handles this.

If the agent that paid me is ok with it and lets me know I am ok with it. Most of the local stagers in my area typically shoot their own short social video and stills once they finish setting up.

That said I have had to shut down a couple of rental companies that have stolen images without permission. I typically will leave the door open if they would like to have the property professionally shot moving forward.

Same, I've has stagers use them before for their business and I don't mind. Only if the property changes hands do I speak up. Even then, it the listing agent double ends it and then relist it as a rental for their buyer I'm cool with that too. As long as it relates to the original agent in some form or fashion I don't mind.

I did photos yesterday for a finished landscaping project. Owners approached me seeing I was about do to drone photos and asked if they could have drone photos. Since I was hired to do them by a landscaping company I asked them to check with the owner of that company. I would not mind if the owners get some photos but that needs to be checked with the company that has hired me.
