Hi All

Just wondering what everyone else does with regards to sharing matterort, if you scan a house for a real estate agent which is live on a public property portal do you share the tour public or unlisted

If you share it Public is there a way of using this to add key words which will help promote your own companies services to the public and other real estate agents???

Thanks in advance

I share unlisted tours and if I host them I ask if they want to go live on Matterport Discover. I am adding keywords for better discoverability, but I have never received any new leads through this channel. But it gives the tour more clicks, of course, and improves the discoverability for the client showcase. More clicks have a positive influence, when you discuss the prolongation of the hosting.

Hi @3dshowcaseuk
Before Matterport, we created Google Business/Street View virtual tours.
We had to adhere to Google’s regulations, which required that private homes be hosted on our own servers; only commercial/public buildings could be uploaded to Google’s system.
We still apply this rule as we feel that someone purchasing a home has a right to privacy and security.
When, with the client’s express permission, we set a tour to Public, we do add tags, and as @MeshImages has said, these certainly help the tour to show up in Google search, which increases views
If you examine the Analytics for a tour, you can see where the views originated.
The Important Irish Art tour gives insight into how the analytics work, as 70% of views came from the embedded version on the client’s own website. As the tour is for an art auction, its lifespan is short, it is replaced within weeks by the next auction.
The remaining 30% of views come from my.matterport.com, discover.matterport.com, Facebook and Google.
Obviously, where the client has a Google Business Listing, there is huge value in publishing the Matterport tour to Google Street View.
Adding photographs from the tour with the addition of appropriate titles and a 30-second video of the walk-through will help enormously with SEO.
