| Goodness, now we're in September for a release? This is crazy that those of us that signed up are essentially paying them $123/mo and receiving nothing. Does this mean we're getting 10 listings/mo credited to our account until we finally receive the camera? We were told August and now another month. Not the best start to this "offer". Seems more like having WGAN members fund their orders for first release. Giraffe had a shipping error with me already and said they put one of their older cameras in a box instead. So far this company seems to be fumbling the release. Anyone else in WGAN feeling some frustration with this? |

Your post is totally fair, I wanted to respond to apologise and hopefully provide some clarity on the situation. We’ve pushed the release to late September after our final testing highlighted two upgrades that will make a big difference; enhanced SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) for better spatial accuracy, and improvements to the G-Splat video rendering for higher-quality drone-style/cinematic video. We’d rather deliver the best possible performance than push out the release prematurely. Just to clarify, the Giraffe PRO Camera was offered as a pre-sale, so no one is currently being charged $123/month. Your subscription only starts once you receive your camera, and your place in the launch queue is secured by a $123 holding payment (this covers your first month of service when you are in receipt of the Pro Camera). RE the Go-Cam shipment, I believe this was rectified before the shipment left the Fedex facility, apologies you were sent tracking information (we must have gotten your hopes up!) - This was an unfortunate teething error when setting up some new systems for the Pro Camera shipments. If you don’t want to wait, we can send you a Go Camera now under the same 60-day trial you signed up for - 10 included properties at $123/month (starting when you receive it) - so you can begin capturing properties. If you’d prefer to wait for the PRO, no problem at all. I'm sorry its not been the journey we wanted to give you so far - we promise the final product will be worth it! |
