| The dollhouse is so useful in understanding the overall layout of the house or building. It is a gimmick in a way, but a useful one. It's a useful way of jumping to a specific room. It is also great for eye-catching social media posts. I would be interested to know if those who said it was not useful were using Matterport. I have a suspicion that maybe they felt it was unimportant if they did not have it available. |

| It is actually an interesting topic as competitions always say Matterport takes time to do. However what takes time for me to do is to build a good looking minimap without skipping any areas because I want to build a full 3D dollhouse mesh without any void. If a dollhouse is not required you can make a Matterport tour without it 2-3 times faster. |

| @Wingman If that is the aim, then you can switch the dollhouse and floor plan off. I’ve had to do that on a few models where the roof was high and the dollhouse looked awful. Car showrooms also due to shiny black cars half disappearing in dollhouse view. So I guess if you want to reduce scan time, you can apply the same. | ||

| @CharlesHH That is my point. When we compare systems for a speed of use we first need to match all what is coming as their default features. It is kind of not rocket science but even that came to me recently when I saw a badly produced Matterport tour for the same property I did in full. That tour had everything disabled but in a nutshell it was still a tour made of 134MP Matterport can deliver with a pro 2. It took me about 5 hours to do while the copy was produced in much less than one hour. |
