Pix4D Catch app for 3D scanning uses the iPhone/iPad 12 LIDAR. There have been some who are questioning the accuracy of the LIDAR (one of these is a recent iGuide discussion).
The link you put in actually uses the Polycam app on an iPhone 11 w/o LIDAR.
I just got a new iPhone 13 and am planning to experiment with Pix4D Catch. Will let you know.
