| I’ve been planning to get one but I my oldest daughter had a wedding last year and my youngest is having hers this year. I feel like at some point we are going to fedex a robot to a site with a return label. They’ll have a 5g connection to send the recap data to our server. Only thing I haven’t worked out is above ceiling info. |

| @Sdoughtie Congrats on your two weddings. If you pair a 360 camera with a robot, please share your thoughts on the recap data. Dan |

| @DanSmigrod if you have the Unitree G2Pro. it captures lidar info. I suspect you can get that data by pairing it with a Raspberry Pi or Nvidia Jetson. then use a 5g modem to upload it. I just wouldn't want the data to get lost by Fedex if the whole package got lost. I would look into adding a lidar puck to it. |

Quote:Originally Posted by DanSmigrod I think the only robot dog that can carry a camera raised to some reasonable level is the one from Boston Dynamics. Unless of course we are talking about Insta360 and Ricoh cameras. And to be honest they all wobble while walking so a rover on wheels is probably the only option :-) I may go back to that abandoned project after finishing a 360 degree rig. I have a 3D printer now so it can solve some problems that was hard to do without it. I actually have much much better camera in mind for the next 360 rig so may be the rover will be considered after it. Especially that rig can be used on the rover and I have a spare Livox MID-40 lidar to add to it. It is the same lidar as the one being used in a Pro3. |
