Question of the Day: Have you/will you buy stock in Matterport (MTTR)?

“Matterport said it served 616,000 "subscribers" in its latest quarter, but 554,000 of those subscribers were still using its free plan, which grants remote access to a single digital twin. It only generated revenue from the 62,000 subscribers that paid for the storage of additional digital models.”

I know many Matterporters, who have multiple accounts on the new plan. Taking this into account, there is maybe only 20,000 individual subscribers. And hosting of millions of (inactive) models for free does not sound like a good business plan to me.

The current business model lacks logic and scalability. Hosting fees are much too high and scare off customers to make the decision to build on Matterport. The company would be in a much better position with the old classic plan business model. Maybe with less paying subscribers, but with much better business data and business perspectives.

If I look at the MarketScreener analysis of MTTR I cannot find these 500 Million in case. And I doubt that these forecasts can be met in the current market situation. This will probably not be a friendly investors call today for the management at MTTR.
