Why do you or don't you - include pricing on your website for your photography services?

|Because in certain cases it may turn potential customers away. I would rather speak to the customer and give the the pricing that fits their needs, then not speak to them at all. Sometimes $20-$30 discount goes a long way.|

|My prices "start at". This gives me some flexibility and, at the same time, it helps the client have an idea about the price range. As a customer, I always prefer to know approximately what I'm going to pay for a service. But as a business owner, I prefer to maintain some flexibility because each project is different.|

|We post prices and they are firm.
1- chit-chatting about prices or negotiating prices is time consuming and we are busy.
2- It is unfair to charge Agent A $200 for something and then turn around and charge Agent B $150 for same a couple days later. They will find out about it occasionally, and you will lose a customer.

|I share prices because I often create packages that are significantly cheaper (if it's a client I'm building a relationship with or other) then they can see what a great deal they are getting. Also, I do post as Expertise says, negotiating prices is time consuming. My prices all say "starting at" which gives me some flexibility.
I think it also depends on where people are and how well established. As someone who is about 8 months into a business, I'm reasonable happy with how it's been going. The plan is to get really established and then have a model similar to @Expertise. I give away a lot of extras, ie, I shot a property booked at the last minute. Night time shoot. I replaced the windows which totally changed the look of the property. Only a couple of windows, but in future contracts, I will charge for that service.
