BathroomScanningToilet Seats

Lets Talk Toilet Seats meets Matterport11433

homefinders3d private msg quote post Address this user
I shot a Matterport tour and utilized the Captur3d services. It was a really nice home, built in 1908 but a smart home. Somehow I managed to leave a toilet seat up in one of it's 4 bathrooms. My question is: could I go back in and re-shoot that one bathroom and add it to the original shoot and reprocess it? it's a little 1/2 bath). I did it for a friend and so it wasn't a big money maker considering it was 3600 sqft. The asking price is $710,00 and I feel I need to fix it if I can without re-shooting the whole tour. He is happy with it.

Thanks
Bill

hide that scan point, it's a toilet. Unless it's covered in gold or talks to you or cleans you with soft warm water.

Lol, my wife works with me and said "you did a scan with a toilet seat up". I blew it off. As soon as I posted a link to it in the KW group, the broker posted "you left the toilet seat up" She deleted it right away, but it made me think.

As I understand, you can go back, delete whatever scans you need to, re scan those points, and upload again, and will not count against your upload count. That is my understanding. I could be high.

Simply add a scan at every juncture where the toilet seat is visible (this time with it down), reupload, then turn off the ones in which the toilet seat is up. I wouldn't delete any scenes, since that could lead to orphaned scans situation. I've done this before in a larger way: one client did not like the black voids in the dollhouse view in one room caused by a very sunny day. I went back and re-scanned the room - this time with the curtains closed. Re-uploaded and hid all of the scenes in which the curtains were closed. Problem solved (except that the closed curtains appeared in the new dollhouse).

Best Wishes,

Keith

I have never bothered whether it is up or down as long as it is clean.

However I just came from scanning 9 apartments(half of them were display units) and almost all lids were down. So I was closing all that I found with their lid up. 5 more to do tomorrow, more lids to put down for me :-)

They spent $4,000 on the toilet and got the vanity at an overstock for a low end gym. :-)
