Hi All,

Whether you are just staring out with Matterport - or a seasoned Pro - these tips on scanning with a Matterport Pro2 3D Camera are super-helpful.

Hint: Fill in all the black holes in the mini-map in the Matterport Capture App; scan at the bottom and top of stairs and keep scans in a straight line [/b].

What's your #1 tip for scanning distance?

Happy holidays,

Dan

5-6 Feet between scans, in my experience, gives nice smooth transition.

I skip the straight lines talk so VR googles can see other scan spots or so someone can leap down a hall instead of wearing out their wrist clicking every space. Start promising straight and you have more item to have your clients grade you on. Run into a mirror and your promise is broken.

Could we be risk shortening the amount of time someone visits the tour. Possible with no way to measure. In general most of my tours have shortened down to the 2 minute realm when it once held at 4 minutes and quickly dropping to 3.5 to 3 minutes a few years ago.
