Hi All,

If you are flying a DJI, imagine keeping line-of-sight with AR glasses instead of a smartphone or tablet.

"[With the EPSON Moverio BT-300 augmented reality glasses] ... it is actually a nice way to fly because, it allows you to keep line of sight with the aircraft, and normally the information that shows up on your phone or tablet is floating in space in front of you, said Eric Mizufuka, Sr. Manager, New Ventures at Epson America, Inc. in a WGAN-TV interview with Los Angeles-based Home3D.us Chief Photographer Kevin Dole (@Home3D) at the Commercial UAV Expo Americas 2019 in Las Vegas (28-30 October 2019).

"So it is a nice way to keep line of sight with your drone and be able to see what it sees. So it is kind of a safer, more productive way to fly. ."

- [Kevin] Hi, this is Kevin Dole. We are here at the 2019.....

- [Eric Mizufuka] Commercial UAV EXPO

- [Kevin] You're better at saying that than I am. In Los Vegas, Nevada. This is Kevin Dole the Chief Photographer of home3D.us out of Los Angeles. And I am here at the EPSON booth, where Eric is going to demonstrate something that maybe of significant interest to a lot of you.

- [Eric] So I am here to show off the EPSON Moverio BT-300 augmented reality glasses. What you can see is it is a see through display. And the glasses actually have a few applications, in the real estate market. The first would be for a drone pilot.

So if someone were to be taking real estate photography, with a DJI drone our glasses seamlessly integrate in the DJI workflow.
How does that work? It basically replaces your phone or tablet.

And it is actually a nice way to fly because, it allows you to keep line of sight with the aircraft, and normally the information that shows up on your phone or tablet is floating in space in front of you.

So it is a nice way to keep line of sight with your drone and be able to see what it sees. So it is kind of a safer, more productive way to fly.

In the real estate industry there are a couple of other applications.

One would be for any 360 degree video or photo assets. We actually have a motion sense built in to the glasses, so you can load any of those assets onto our device. And you can have kind of a 360 look around experience.

It is a unique experience for your clients, something they've probably never seen or tried before is AR Glasses. Unlike VR Headset, this thing is mostly rubber and plastic so it wipes down nice and clean.

- [Kevin] It is very light weight, it's very comfortable to wear.

- [Eric] And the third application in the real estate sector is going to be a platform that we have which is called Moverio Assist. So it is Moverioassist.com and it is actually, you can think of it like a hands free Facetime.

So you'll notice we do have a front facing camera. So let's say for instance you was the REALTOR, are doing a property walk through, where your client is on vacation or on a business trip. Your client can basically login to the Moverio Assist Platform on their PC, and you can take them through a walk through of the property.

Unlike Facetime, the glasses, you know, you still have your hands free, so you can still open doors, you know, show them inside closets. Really get around and stream all that from the wearable camera. So those are the three solutions we have for the Moverio glasses that are relevant to real estate. And the glasses could be purchased at EPSON.COM for $699.

- [Kevin] Now can this device, when you say, other other 3D assets, and you can use the glasses to look at them, does this connect to the internet?

- [Eric] Yeah, so you could think of it as an Android tablet, that has been kind of deconstructed, where the screen just floats in front of you. So from a 3D perspective we support the side-by-side 3D method where we can broadcast a different image to each eye. And we can render in 3D.

- [Kevin] Yeah, and if some of that information is on the internet this device can connect to it?

- [Eric] Yeah, we do have built in web browsers.

- [Kevin] Ah, is it a browser, okay. Yeah.

- [Eric] Built in web browser--

- [Kevin] Are you familiar with Matterport 3D?

- [Eric] It has a track pad.

- [Kevin] Are you familiar with Matterport 3D?

- [Eric] Yeah, I am familiar with Matterport.

- [Kevin] So Matterport can be, these glasses can be used to browse Matterport especially?

- [Eric] You know, I have not tried the latest Matterport applications on here.

- [Kevin] It's just the finished rendered models.

- [Eric] Maybe it is something we can try it out.

- [Kevin] Yeah, because most of the people on [The WGANForum.com] also do Matterport. Many of them, Hundreds of them. Thousands of them probably.

- [Eric] All right, lets give it a shot.

- [Kevin] Yeah

- [ Eric] So you and I can test this out, and then maybe you can give an update.

- [Kevin] We'll check back on that! That's great. It is a very very comfortable headset. The image is very bright. The brightness and the transparency are both adjustable, so you can....

It looks to me as though it would be very very visible in direct sunlight. Which is of course one of the problems we have with reading our iPads.

- [Eric] We do have shades that clip on.

- [Kevin] Yeah, clip on sunglasses.

- [Eric] That increase contrast in bright sunlight.

- [Kevin] Yeah, so it is really nice. They have two models, and those two models are for different DJI Applications.

- [Eric] Different applications. Yeah. One has the Android operating system built in, that's the BT-300, we also have the BT-35E which takes in HDMI input.

- [Kevin] Got it!

- [Eric] So if you are flying a higher end DJI Copter or maybe something, another Aerial platform that is HDMI out, you can buy the BT-35E as well.

- [Kevin] So this is one of the most interesting things we have seen thus far at

- [Eric] Commercial UAV EXPO [Americas 2019].

- [Kevin] Thank you so much, it is so long the name of this show.

- [Kevin] Kevin Doyle from home3D.us on behalf of [WGAN-TV.com] in Atlanta.

- [Eric] Thank you.
