Matterport generally has required that the point cloud identify large continuous surfaces in multiple scans in order to "align" properly. That's why bushes won't work, too many, too small mesh triangles. Also why scans in the center of large open spaces misalign.

Here is a fire example that I don't believe would work as Matterport. Too few simple surfaces. This was an 11,000+ sq ft home I shot, before and after the recent L.A. fires.
