| Hi All, I've updated my Wordpress Plugin that allows inserting Matteport Tours by using a simple shortcode. https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-gallery-for-matterport-showcase/ I've added a new feature for faster loading. The 'Hero' image that is shown as the thumbnail is 1920x1080. It's huge. Matterport doesn't create a smaller one. Rather than downloading images and resizing in Wordpress, I've always relied on image caching via Google -- I've now found another service that will not only cache - but resize the image too. I've integrated this using a method that I've been hesitant about unleashing as I'm not certain it'll work on everyone's hosting accounts. SO! I'd love to invite anyone using the plugin to install the update and post here if you have any difficulties with it! |

| Just bumping this. I've heard nothing while I expected there to be issues. Please, if you use my plugin and have updated it recently, confirm that the thumbnails still work or if you have had issues. The new method is GREAT for page loading times once cached, but it was implemented in a rather jury rigged fashion. |

Hahaha...LOL...Ahhhh.... Another example of my ignorance. I'm not even sure what caching is and what it is exactly your plugin does. Do I need it if I have WP3D models? Is this for something entirely different? Now here's the really embarrassing part. I read your description and only understand about half of it. Perhaps I should have finished that last year and a half of High School. haha Is there a place I can to go to see the plug-in in action? |

Mine is for creating a single embed or an image gallery of pop-up Matterport Tours. Ross's creates a structured catalog of tours with additional information suitable for single page websites or simply a beautiful portfolio. | @Metroplex360 - Does the plugin only work for pop up window's over the current page? I've read multiple times "Mine is for creating a single embed or an image gallery of pop-up Matterport Tours". Is there a way to have each tour open up as a new tab or window? I love the gallery I was able to make here, but have a client who wants the tour to pop up as a new window. As you have read, I am not a fan of sharing Matterport links directly for others steal. And I do not want to spend time creating images for each, all over again and have them lead to the landing page where the person has to click again for the tour to start. I love this plugin! |

| @VLTV - Thanks! I'm posting an update right now that will allow you to have a new parameter: window="blank" or -- window="targetFrame" -- which would allow a web developer to create an <iframe id="whatever"> and for all clicked tours to open in it. |

| We use the plugin. We also use the Divi theme for wordpress. How do we display the tour without having it open to matterport.com? I don't want people leaving our website. Were we supposed to download other plugins with the matterport plugin? Here is a work in progress https://brookhampton.com/129-holiday-blvd/ We want to move the matterport tour to the tabs at the bottom. Either way, we can not prevent it from opening in a new window showing the matterport URL |

| @BrookHampton - That looks like WP3D Models, not the Matterport Shortcode Plugin. If you -have- been using my plugin, but it's not active now, there's a chance that the plugin is conflicting with something else, causing the lightbox to fail. Private Message we a URL that shows the problem and I'll take a look. Masking the Matterport URL is not a function/feature/initiative of my plugin BTW Anyone can get a tour url by clicking the 'share' button. Or ... hitting 'u' on the keyboard while in the tour ... or viewing the page source ... or right clicking and clicking 'inspect element'. |
