How do you scan foyer and a unit 3 floors up4445

Mmerlin14 private msg quote post Address this user
Hi All

I am new to the Matterport world having only done around 20 scans. These has all been single level properties.

I now have an assignment where the client wants the foyer scanned and the the apartment that is 3 floors up and only accessible by a lift.

I can't find any literature or online advice on how to do this.

Can someone please give me some advise.

Many thanks

Vic (Perth Western Australia)

Best way is to use 360 for foyer

Only other option is to map the stairwell

I agree. I came across this @Mmerlin14.
I decided to do as @3dshowcaseuk suggested. 360 the foyer and then scan the apartment on the 3rd floor.
Then just ensure the 360 is in the gallery.

I find that this doesnt help the flow of the tour in my opinion. If possible perhaps scan the stair well but that would look strange on the Dollhouse effect.

The third option is if you really want to have a interactive tour in the foyer, consider doing two scans. Use a mattertag on the elevator and use a link to the upper tour. effectively having two tours linked to one. Use the auto play function to make it a bit more seemless during the load from one scan to the next.
Likewise on the upper floor scan use a mattertag to return to the lower floor foyer.

hope this helps
