Problem Running Chrome on a Mac4188

GarySnyder private msg quote post Address this user
I have a client that insist on running Chrome on a Mac and can't seem to run the showcase. Any suggestions outside of telling them to run Safari or Firefox.

@GarySnyder

I just tried (successfully) to look at a Matterport Spaces 3D Tour on my Macbook Pro.

Perhaps simply restarting the computer?

I did notice that with an unrelated website, I was not able to use Chrome (and switch to Safari successfully).

Hi All,

Anyone experiencing something unusual with Chrome?

Dan

P.S. @GarySnyder, when I went to see what version of Google Chrome I am using – Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit) – it said "Updating Google Chrome" (Menu: Chrome-->About Google Chrome)

@GarySnyder

Once I updated Google Chrome (and restarted), it says I am using version Version 57.0.2987.110 (64-bit). A slight change. I will check Matterport again (and the site that I was having trouble).

Matterport model works. (The other, unrelated site (still) does not work in Chrome).

Restart?

Thanks Dan, I'll suggest that they try rebooting their Mac as well as checking for an update. This is the first time I've ever encountered a problem with some one accessing the Showcase although I've never really asked what system they were using.

I'll update this thread if any of the above solve the problem.

Mac user here and I use Chrome almost exclusively. My only suggestion would be to make sure the WebGL stuff is activated on Chrome. I don't know why, but I have had a few clients that have had issues and their WebGL was ticked off. We turned it on, MP showcases worked without issue.

Thanks all for your help. It turns out that it was a user issue as well as dropping the s in https when loading the link. As always you can always count on 100% outstanding support from the members of forum.
