I have a client that requested an aerial photo that can be blown up to a wall-sized poster. Can anyone give me info on what the best method of achieving this would be?
Software that can scale a photo to large output sizes with great resolutions?
Or stitch multiple photos together to get a high resolution photo.

Thanks for you help!

most large size posters are quite low resolution print, depends on size of the print, quality of camera etc.

I´d probably try to stitch some photos together to achieve this.

LR handles scaling quite well.

@RobinLycka I have seen that the billboard print is somewhere around 72PPI and understand that the viewing distance makes a big difference. I was thinking I would be printing somewhere around 200PPI.

I am using a 12mp camera and am thinking that stitching is the best. I have not talked to the client yet this is from my marketing director. I am waiting on a call from the client to get more detail on what they are looking for exactly. The message I got was that they are looking for an aerial picture that they can blow up to wall size for a poster?!? As Dan would say clear as mud!

@frstbubble haha, clear as mud indeed.

FWIW - a 12 mp file will get you a 50x70 print at around 150 dpi.
