[Moving the following post to this new thread from here.]

Every Matterport Pro needs a 360º spherical camera for enhanced visual storytelling. BUT, which one?

In this thread, please share your hands-on experience with the LG Cam360 ,,,

@RHEHHI will start it off. Hopefully, he will share more about his experience with this 360º spherical camera in this thread. ...

All the processing is done on the app not the camera. Did get it to connect with wifi but since the wifi range is about 10' i was directly in every shot. Interesting enough my LG tablet would connect with Bluetooth to operate the camera correctly but would not let files download via wifi. Needless to say i gave it back to the dealer. Probably will look at the Theta S. I think there are some legitimate uses for the spherical photos and video in our business. ...

That is very good to know. Thanks very much for sharing that information. I had been considering that little camera. You saved me a lot of lost money and time.

Been meaning to get back in here and post more about my experience with the LG 360. I originally looked at it for several reasons. First it records in 2.7K. Second it has surround sound mics (5 i believe)and can produce some very interesting results ie when video is played with headphones on sound will move as the object moves. Lastly the cost is only $199.00.
As i posted earlier i could never get it to work properly with my LG G3 phone even though it is listed as a preferred device. LG tech service was absolutely no help. Another issue is that it has no on board memory. All the data is stored on an SD card you provide. The camera itself does no 3D processing it only collects the recorded data. This data is then downloaded via WiFi between the camera and the phone. The WiFi signal is not very strong. If the phone is more than 10' from the camera it will disconnect. Also the transfer rate is very slow. As i stated before i was able to record a couple of test videos connecting with the WiFi instead of the Bluetooth. The video was only 20 seconds long and took almost 15 minutes to transfer the video data to the phone. The app on the phone is what processes the finished product. The processing took another 5 minutes. The app, as far as i could tell, only provided the option to post to Facebook and Google+. Both good places to post but I need more options for it to be of value.
There is a program you can load to your desktop; LG360 CAM viewer, that you can pull the data from the SD card and process. I thought this might solve the problem. Unfortunately, when i opened it it wanted me to download 2 other third party programs so the viewer would work. I don't think so. That was pretty much the end of the trial for this product.
