Quick update + real-world timing results after the latest Giraffe360 Pro Camera firmware update.

They pushed an update that’s supposed to improve scan times, so I installed everything and ran a few stopwatch tests to see what actually changed.

What I updated

Camera firmware
Tripod firmware
Both had updates available and installed before testing.

What I tested

Still photo capture time

Single scan time

Double scan time

Important note about the timer
The system uses a built-in 10-second timer before scanning starts (so you can leave the room). From what I can tell, it can’t be turned off, but it can be adjusted. My timings below include that 10-second delay.

My results (average-ish)

Still photo: ~3.75 seconds

Single scan: ~25 seconds

Double scan: ~53 seconds

My takeaway
This update definitely makes the workflow feel faster and smoother. Even the double scan is coming in under a minute including the timer, which is a big win if you’re trying to move through spaces quickly.

Question for other Giraffe360 users
Do you like having the 10-second timer baked in, or would you rather have an OFF option? For my workflow it’s useful, but I’d still love the choice.

If anyone else has tested after the update, I’d love to hear your numbers too.
