| Hi Dan, I provide training and support to those who purchase Matterport from the Irish distributors so I concur with the comment made by Scan Your Space. The vast majority of issues that my trainees and purchasers report stem from the operator standing beside instead of behind the camera. These issues lead to misalignments and, at times quite bizarre image results. Can I suggest that you embrace the old Matterport Four Step, think of it as an excellent aerobic exercise that also keeps your brain sharp as you skip behind the Pro3. Oliver |

| This, as pointed out above by mr. Scanyourspace, is a bad idea. It can easily result in non alignments. When I do let the laser hit me, I’m trying to blend in with curtains, or shrubbery. Go ahead and walk the extra 90 degrees. | ||

| Yeah, following behind the camera also offers a bit of a buffer zone (aka the side camera views) just in case your circling timing is slightly off. Just not worth the increased risk of removing this buffer. Plus to echo others, the matterport dance is great for the body and mind! And remember, you always have the alternate option of the trusty "run & hide" method- great for the fast-twitch muscles and agility. |

| Anybody checks how much you walk on a job circling around or going to a hiding place and back? I wear a smartwatch sometimes to see what time is but it is also counting steps. On one 4 hour job with a land size(I was capturing lawn and a few buildings inside) of 10 000 sqm I got 11 000 steps. Considering my step is about 70cm that is 7.7km(almost 5 miles) Today I have done a 2 hour job of a small restaurant and it has counted 2300 steps. |

| @DanSmigrod, Genius! You have created an ear worm which may haunt me for some time to come! I will need to resist breaking out any Riverdance moves, all that tapping would undoubtedly lead to unstable camera warnings. Clients globally may wonder why the Matterport Capture person is grinning from ear to ear as they shimmy behind their Pro3s! Finally I wonder if we might see the Matterport Four Step feature in a future episode of Dancing with the Stars? Oliver |

| @Wingman, I often record distances of 5 to 12 km when Capturing larger spaces. This is especially true where the spaces are tight and hiding is the only practical option. It is possible to ghost yourself in reflections at times by moving fast, at a diagonal, covering more space in the blind spot behind the Pro3. I would not advise this if wearing a fluorescent jacket/bib as part of the PPE on construction sites or premises that require it. I’m guessing that my exercise count may rise in the future as I let it rip with the Matterport Four Step. Oliver |

In these cases a radius of a circle you have to "walk" along becomes very big..at least 3-4 meters from a tripod. Since it is a big circle to just walk it for 20 seconds you have to switch to very fast walking. |

| @Wingman, On my visits to Brisbane (one of my daughters-in-law is from the city) I noticed a lot of long shadows, so I feel your pain. In Ireland however we have a lot fewer sunny days, so long shadows bother us less.  Oliver |
