- Okay, everybody. We are comparing Fotello's AI editing versus a human editor. And you can see the outside of this house looks great. Now we're on the inside.

Window pulls are great. Coloring is good. I like it. I chose to use a preset that gives it a little more pop. I like Fotello's edit here, shows more window pull.

Here again is another outside shot of a different house. Appears the human edited version, it's cropped in a little bit more than the [www.WGAN.info/fotello] version.

So yeah, I don't have very many complaints at all about this. I think it's all good. Yeah, I'm happy. I will definitely use this and send it off to the agents.

And so far, I've had all good feedback. So, good old Bruno Versaci, REALTOR extraordinaire/Professional Photographer. You wear two hats as you should because it's hot out and you don't want to get a sunburn on your head.

- On my neck.

- On your neck, yeah. So we did Fotello's AI editing of a shoot that you did and I wanted to go over because you noticed an issue with something and then you had a preference on something.

And so I wanted to go over it and record it so that we can use your name and likeness in a promo video, I think.

- Beautiful, but actually though, Thomas, I found two issues.

- Two issues, okay.

- [Bruno] After that, but we'll get to those later.

- Let's go over it. So I'm sharing my screen. I don't think we need to see me on camera, but you're good on there. So your listing was this one?

- [Bruno] Correct.

- [Tom] And what'd you think just looking at the photos. Like first look at them so you brought them to my house to download because you're having some internet issues and I downloaded them while I was talking to you in the front yard.

And then I started uploading them to Fotello while you were driving home, which is about a 30-ish minute drive. And I think I called you right when you walked in the door and said, "Hey, the photos are uploaded." Was that right?

- Yeah, well you just take a day took like what, 10, 15 minutes before I even got home, they were done.

- Yeah.

- Which is great. And to answer your question, yeah. When I first saw them, I got, whoa, the first thing I noticed was the quality is a whole lot difference. A whole lot different. I noticed that is just a little crisper, a little sharper, just a little more vibrant.

The most important thing I noticed is in the interior, when you get around the window area or sometimes either other areas that has either light colors or white colors.

Sometimes there'll be like a really dark ring around the windows, which I would actually even go to Photoshop and just dodge it up a little bit myself and it looks pretty natural. It is not a big deal, but it does take some time. But with this set-

- [Tom] Oh, you're talking about with your human editing?

- Yeah, with my human editing. With this set, either very little or not even hardly at all. I see that around the window area. And then when I go in there, that was the issue one, issue was I just felt there's still a little bit below my personal contrast standards. I mean it look great if I was just to put them up on the web right now no one even notice.

But to me, I'd like a little bit more punchier because as a Realtor, it's very competitive. So I don't want to look like everybody else just sort of sold pictures. If I get a bit more pop behind them, I think it might hold interests a little bit longer especially for a prospective buyer.

- [Tom] Yeah. Can you see my screen?

- Yes I can.

- [Tom] So [www.WGAN.info/fotello] has what they call FOTON 4.0 styles. I did signature I think. But here's natural.

Oh wait. Maybe I don't, no, that's not what I want to do. Sorry, scratch that. We'll wait for that one to finish. And then let's pick another one. So this one for example, there's different profiles we can use. So if I click Airy, watch how it changes. Airy brightens it up a little bit. Can you see the difference between the two?

- I do, yeah, I do.

- [Tom] All right. And then there's more we can do golden or deep. So I tend to like Airy. Oh, and you can hold it down and see the difference.

- Yeah.

- [Tom] Now if you didn't like this at all, you can play with the exposure, you can play with the contrast. Do you like it more on this side?

- Yeah, see, more poppy like that. But what platform are you using? Where are those tools at?

- [Tom] This is in Fotello.

- Oh, Fotello, okay.

- [Tom] This is after they return the edited images, this is where you can go and fine tune them.

- Gotcha, it's inside the platform itself, okay.

- [Tom] So why I would not choose to be on this side of contrast is because if you look right here, look at this wall right here as I'm adjusting the contrast up, it kind of like blows out.

- Yeah, well that's why you got to be careful. That's why you got to be more careful.

- [Tom] But you can play with it and say you liked it like that, you could, and again, here's the before. Here's the after.

- Yeah, see from the before and after, there's not a whole lot of detail that's lost. In fact, I don't mind it a little bit washed out because it looks like it's nice, golden sunshine coming through the window there.

I mean there's not like a picture on the wall or anything. So that doesn't bother me too much. It looks pretty nice actually, I think

- [Tom] So once you have them all set, you can hit Apply to All right here and it will apply that same setting, very similar to what can be done in Lightroom. So to the entire set of images.

- That's what scares me a little bit because see not all the walls, that was my second issue actually. That particular wall is a little bit off peach color. I don't even what you call that off yellow slightly. But other walls were white.

And I noticed even though that it was pretty much in the ballpark, a couple of the rooms, one room was the master, I think it was the master bedroom was all the same peach color. But because every time you take a different angle, the light hits that wall differently, I know some of the walls were more like white.

- [Tom] Like this right here, right?

- Actually, yeah. I didn't even see that till, right, yeah, like that one right there, yeah.

- [Tom] So this is one I think I would say, you can put down here. Did the AI make a mistake and how would you describe this? Part of one wall is white, the rest of the walls are peach, this isn't accurate.

That's what I would say. Please make all the walls consistent. Right? Does that make sense, I guess?

- Yeah, I see that now, yeah.

- [Tom] So you can hit that, you can make that request. And then here, it says revision requested and it tells me what I typed in.

Now I've been told that the revisions will come back within eight hours or a little bit less.

You had showed me a image of the bathroom, which was right here and they did kind of a wonky job removing the tripod. So this is one where I would say tripod removal from mirror by door ...

I don't know, my descriptions are kind of but hopefully that makes sense. What was the other issue? Was there another issue or was it just the peach, white?

- It was the contrast issue, which you showed me how to adjust and also the wall. See like look at that one. We go right there is the stop, go in the middle one row up and then right to the right.

To the right. See, okay, that one there, and then one to the right of that is the same room. See how this one, see that's white and that was slightly bluish. It's the same room, but it just, yeah.

- [Tom] So yeah, that's kind of where how the light enters the room can adjust the camera.

- Exactly.

- And affect the camera, I should say. And so there should be kind of a global Hey guys, please check all these out.

The walls in this one. ... Something new they came out with just in the last couple days.

- What's that?

- [Tom] You can add fire in a fireplace.

- [Bruno] Oh, oh really? Oh cool.

- [Tom] Or you can add visuals on a blank like a TV screen.

- Oh, really? Yeah, because remember before, I used to black them out, now you can-

- [Tom] Yeah, you can black them out too, but. And then I think one of them that I've already fixed, this one right here, there was a lens auto perspective correction.

And in the image that I first delivered to you, this horizon was all slanted downwards. And this was nice and straight. I think it was trying to correct for maybe this a little bit. And so it caused the horizon to just be like, woo. Almost kind of-

- I didn't see that.

- [Tom] Titanic. And so when I turned that off, it fixed it and it looks good now. But, yeah, so-

- Well like you say, AI is still learning, so hopefully you'll learn from what we're doing here.

- [Tom] A cool thing about this is you can download MLS size right to your computer or you can download print size. If you hit the share button, I don't have any logo or anything. we're going to copy this and open it in a new tab.

I'm going to show you what it looks like. So if you don't deliver... Like how do you normally deliver images to your agents?

- I just pretty much just to download them from my editor to my computer, my computer. I upload it to my Google Drive and send in the link.

- [Tom] Yeah, so now, if you signed up, you could provide them with this link where it's almost like a micro website for the property.

There's a little slideshow. They can download the photos right here. You can put the address here instead of it having, listing. But then they have access to view all the photos. They'd see your information, your logo and mugshot when you upload it would be here. So that's kind of cool.

- Yeah, pretty professional.

- [Tom] Yeah. So, okay. So overall, like on a A, B, C, D, F rating, grade school rating, what would you give them?

- I would give them an A for quality and B for the little quirks.

We're still trying to get around, but I guess that's just going to take a minute or two to work with until we get more specific. But for the most part, again, like I said, I give them an A for the quality. It was impeccable.

- [Tom] Nice. Yeah, I mean I did a few other listings and this particular listing, I had a photographer go and do aerials.

The agent, I think I was telling you about it, the agent needed the pictures of the roof for insurance purposes. And she was really in a rush.

And so the photographer did the shoot at 9 AM had them uploaded by 9:30 AM. I sent them to Fotello and I had them back within maybe 15 minutes and I delivered them to the agent and she was happy.

She got her roof pictures so that she could get it to whoever she needed to get it to. But yeah. So there's different, let me go back.

Did that one process? I don't even remember where it was that we were... What one was it, this one? Oh, I changed it to natural. So there's different styles that they have.

- Thomas, I got a question.

- [Bruno] What's your question?

- Oh, okay. I thought you didn't hear me. I thought you were still doing something. Okay, so my question is this, what happens, would you be, how do I word this? Because obviously, like you probably won't see, if you go scroll down.

- [Tom] Oh, sorry, go ahead.

- It's okay. Go down, stop right there. Oh, wait, wait, stop. Go up one, one more to the right, click that one.

So what I do, I get rid of these cords in Photoshop and then that's of course when I deliver the image a little more punchy, a little bit more with the ...

I just clean up a little bit with the contrast and sometimes the cropping if I want to crop a little bit differently. But then of course, all this stuff, I just wipe out and Photoshop.

My question is, there's no way I can download it, do what I got to do and then upload it back up to [Fotello] and then where is [Fotello]?

- [Tom] I'm sorry, [Fotello].

- Okay. Yeah. Upload it back up to there and then make their corrections all at once and there. Because right now, I do every one by one by one by hand, which takes some time.

But I was thinking, what if I just download everything, do all my Photoshopping what I got to do, and then re-upload it and then do it all at one pop. Is that possible?

- [Tom] No, it makes sense to do all your contrast color correction stuff. Do you want to fine tune in here then download it, and then just do your photoshopping and then send it to the agent?

- It's reverse. Okay, yeah, you can just do reverse, yeah.

- [Tom] Yeah, that's a good feature request is if they can remove a camera from a mirror, maybe they have a beta where they can remove cords and wires.

- Yeah.

- [Tom] I think we've done thousands of houses and we don't typically do that. That's something that you offer.

- Yes.

- I don't know. I know some agents are offer or some photographers are offering it, but I don't think that's like the norm is to go and edit out stuff like that.

- You're correct. It's not the norm, yeah. But I do it because I'm an agent and it bothers me.

- [Tom] Yeah, but how many people have been, "No, I don't want to buy that house because there was a cable coming out of the wall."

- That cable cord's a deal breaker, that's for sure. No.

- [Tom] That's why you're having the internet issues you have now?

- But see, like, what I do like right in the next picture right here, look at this picture right here. What I would do that corner thing, my eye goes right to it, of course I'll take up that cord and then you see some tracks in the carpet from the furniture used to be.

As long as I can remove things cosmetically, that is not going to impend on the actual sale of the home. For example, nobody cares if there's furniture tracks in the carpet because obviously, when you shampoo it or maybe even change the carpet, it's going to be gone anyway.

But if the window's falling off or the roof is missing a piece, I'm not going to fix it because that's of course, that's fraud. But things like this, you're not notice when you walk in, "Hey, where's that cable in the corner I saw?" N one's going to say that.

- [Tom] So watch this. Look at what happened here. You see the cord right here, right?

- Yeah.

- [Tom] This very next image.

- I was wondering what that was. I caught that, I fixed it, but I didn't know what it was. I thought I did something. I guess, I guess.

- [Tom] Oh, so they...

- [Bruno] Well they gave it a shot.

- [Tom] They tried to fix it. Yeah, so. That's interesting. Here's a bunch right here that they've left.

- So I don't know how it picks and chooses what it wants to do, but all that stuff I just kind of just bothers me so I just take that stuff out.

- [Tom] Yeah.

- [Bruno] The one knows it when you go in there.

- [Tom] Well, I think the biggest kind of takeaway the white/peach color walls would be a big deal for me. The editing cords is a personal preference.

I think the biggest advantage is that you can get these images back really quick so that you can fine tune them.

- Yeah, and now that you mention it, Thomas, I'm not sure, I can't remember which walls are peach and which wall were white. I know there were some like that. I'm just hoping that, I don't know if the agent will come and say, "Hey, why is one wall peach, one wall white?" I don't think that's going to happen.

Because see, I remember here for example, I remember those walls were peach and the ceiling was white. So I know I that's correct, but I don't remember how the other rooms were, but we'll see.

- [Tom] Here, obviously, it's white and peach.

- Yeah, I believe so. So, but I guess the AI gets thrown off a little bit, depending on the room, like you said, when you're in a different angle and the light hits at a certain angle, it might tweak it out to fool it, thinking it's another color and then that's how you get kind of funky with sometimes but.

- [Tom] Yeah, and that happens with even human editors where it's the coloring's not quite right.

We had one agent who always would contact me and say, "Hey, this doesn't look quite right." And out of all of the agents that order, she was one of the only ones that ever complained about that.

But if she can see that and that's her preference, then we fixed it. I did this house the other day and the agent didn't have any gripes about it. Let's see.

- Stop right there. Look, this one, do you remember this wall being slightly off white compared to the ceiling?

- [Tom] Yeah, the ceiling was white and the walls were a little off. Check this out. So I hid exterior view on the TV screen and we're going to click on the TV to select it and then it kind of put it in place in the right area.

- What a trip.

- [Tom] And it used the exterior image of the house.

- That's pretty darn cool, actually. That's kind of impressive. I think I should use that.

- [Tom] It saved.

- Now make sure that if the TV's included or as they say, if the TV conveys with the house, make sure it works. Because if you put the image in there and then they get the TV, it doesn't work, there's another possible law suit. Sorry.

Yeah. It's like, "Hey, you said the TV works because they saw the picture,: and obviously, they didn't.

- [Tom] Yeah. So you can get Canyon Coastal View. Let's see if what Coastal View looks like here. That messed that one up.

- Oh.

- [Tom] But the cool thing is you can just go in and fine tune it a little bit.

- Yeah. There you go.

- [Tom] Obviously, that's like not the greatest fine tuning, but.

- Well, you can be more specific later, but just for a quick rush job, we get the idea. It looks great, yeah, it looks great.

- [Tom] Yeah. So, okay, I just wanted to get your feedback and show you a little more about that.

- Cool.

- [Tom] And pricing, I'll show you real quick. You can look at this on your own, but if you do five listings a month, there's a free Starter plan, so you don't even have to pay if you do five listing.

- Starter, so free to view. What does that mean? You can, I guess-

- [Tom] Oh, maybe you have to download. View only, yeah. So you could view them, but you can't download them.

- Well, that's not going to do me any good. I mean-

- [Tom] All right, so let's say you do 10 per month, you'd be paying $20 per listing regardless of if there's five or 50 photos. About average, how many photos do you shoot per house?

- Yeah, I don't do this full-time, Thomas. How many photos per house? About, yeah, no more than 40.

- [Bruno] All right, let's just say 30 to be conservative. Do you know about how much you pay for editing right now? Per photo?

- Yeah, for 30 images, it's going to be around $25, I think. Maybe $30.

- [Tom] You know about how much per photo?

- Oh, yeah, 50 cent. I'm sorry, charging me 30, $15.

- [Tom] Okay, so it says current cost is $150 a month if you're doing 10 properties a month, you're paying about $150 a month. Here, they'll actually do a price match and match what you're already paying. So in this situation, you would be paying them more, but because they offer a match, you'll be paying them what you pay your editor.

Now for me, for example, let's say we do 50 a month, and let's say I'm paying $1 in image, I'm currently paying about $1,500 a month in editing costs. With Fotello, I'd only be paying $1,000. So I'd be saving $500 a month by using Fotello.

- And actually under the circumstances, I don't even mind paying a little bit more to Fotello because obviously, as we just talked about the quality, how fast you get them back and the crispness of it. I mean it's AI.

It just pretty looks like it's out matching pretty much what anyone else can do. But, yeah. And at times, like I think you mentioned, if it's a rush situation, as you just mentioned with that whole lady with the roof thing, that's impressive that you need it back in just, within half an hour and it's-

- [Tom] Yeah.

- [Bruno] You get what you pay for type of thing?

- [Tom] Yup. Well, cool. All right. So I submitted a revision request for a couple of those. Once they come back, I will download them and send them to you so you can have them.

- Okay, yeah, I'll check them out and see what they look like, so.

- [Tom] Yeah.
