This post has no question, nor any answer. I'm just sharing something. I've long been a fan of our National Park Service here in the US. Any notion of cutting employees or funding to this small organization is downright dumb. It's one of the greatest gifts ever bestowed on the American public. And when I visit any of our Parks, I'm always amazed that half the visitors appear to be people from around the world. Our "park service" appears to be more widely admired by foreigners than our fellow citizens. My own favorite is Sequoia National Park here in California. Yes, Yosemite is far more famous, along with Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and others. But Sequoia is my place, and the only National Park (to my knowledge) designated such for the preservation of a living species, as opposed to dramatic cliffs, canyons and other geologic wonders. So take ten minutes and explore Sequoia in this little tour. Climb up and down Moro Rock via Theta Z1 panos (sky is hazy due to a small fire that day) and explore Giant Forest's wonders in HiRes panos shot with a Sony a7iii on Nodal Ninja. Wander your way along the Congress Trail and you may find a stop with my family pausing along our hike. Most of all, put a visit to Sequoia National Park on your bucket list. I've visited Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and it's glorious, but standing at the foot of the General Sherman tree (base is over 30' in diameter) is even more humbling and spiritual. Enjoy.
