Try Gaussian Splatting instead - maybe with Polycam. The Matterport Dollhouse View has not significantly improved for years, and indeed, the Matterport Dollhouse looks a bit outdated these days. |

its not something with my camera or anything else. i use the matterport software and its presentation like everyone else here. i dont think matterport shuld advertise the dollhouse view.. it does not look good. shuld be more high resolution. i go with Meshimages answer "looks a bit outdatet"..

@RoyBatty It does look outdated with the higher quality meshes and 3DGS that is now available. Even 5 years ago my client asked me if it was possible to make one without a dollhouse. I asked them why and they said "we don't need the 3D imagery. We just want the fluid transition between panoramas". That's it really. As long as there is a reasonably accurate skeleton that the panoramas are attached to it is more than enough for most clients to make measurements and experience a more fluid movement than a conventional slide show of panoramas. You can hide the dollhouse with a URL parameter if you like. &dh=0 add the above to the end of your URL. |

You should post the link here. Are you using the trim tool to clean up the unwanted splash? Doing so greatly enhances the experience vs the unedited dollhouse.

I think you have very high expectations from a space scanner. Small objects will be broken and won't have good textures but anything big is meshed and shown quite ok. This is from yesterday job and they are meshes. The last one does not have a good façade from 1st floor and up simply because trees at the front were blocking lidar. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

You can create a better 3D dollhouse quality with high-density scans and/or overscanning the space. ![]() Foto ![]() Mesh |
