| Has anyone heard if there is a successor to the Pro 3 coming out? I want to get an addition pro3 in case there is a problem with my current one, but will hold off if there is a successor coming. |

| I was told by a matterport insider that they're "always working on the next one". But who knows what that means in regards to when it will actually be here. I'm guessing also that it would be a year or two away at a minimum, but I don't have any concrete info on that either. I have absolutely worn my Pro3s out. I'll probably have to get another one soon. | ||

Ok let me set the scoop straight with my luck with Matterport, if I buy another Pro3 camera I guarantee there will be a new release within months. 🤣🤣🤣  Mike I sent you an email on the form looking for some info. Inside info on the Pro4 just kidding about Pro4 but serious about email. |

| Funny story. Bought a Pro 2. Just over 30 days later my stock news on MP stated a Pro 3 was soon to be released. Sweating bullets I filled out the return form with B&H Photo. Great customer service as they ok’d the return minus the return shipping. It was a few days past their return policy. | ||

| I ordered another Pro 3 last week. It was supposed to be delivered today and they cancelled it. No email or explanation from MP. Totally unacceptable. I spoke to them, they do no know why, but they are still fulfilling the orders for the pro3. |

| @ron0987 I seen that post of yours. They also ran it over Christmas. Tried to see if it was still going on. Unfortunately it appears the whole kit is no longer available. It even had the tripod dolly included. Something I haven’t truly needed but would come in handy. B&H has great customer service. Bought all of my MP and photography gear, a half dozen+ Apple products and even insurance through them. They cover commercial usage vs others insurance products that don’t. |

Looks like FARO has come out with MP Pro 4: FARO BLINK This is where I imagined MP would be going, but I think the market demand is trending toward mobile or handheld SLAM devices such as systems from NAVVIS and XGRIDs. Very curious to see what direction MP will take.  |

| @ScanYourSpace @OrangeHill but the newer Faro units are running Theta Z1 cameras mounted on them to improve 360 photos. Even though the software incorporates those 360 photos into scan it does not build a tour similar to Matterport or Realsee. So the photos are better just depending on what your goal is for the end product. | ||

| You would think that with $32000 price tag they could put better imaging sensors but no. 360 photos from Faro Blink are claimed to be 50MP which seems to be 10000x5000 pixels. In terms of visual it is not competing with Matterport for sure and I do not think they even want to. | ||

| The Blink is not competing in the virtual tour space so image quality is not paramount. I don’t think there’d be many buyers for a $32K camera to do virtual tours anyway, no matter how good the image quality was! The Blink is obviously aimed at the AEC & Design space….having an entry that can capture good quality 3D data and is fast and easy to use at a price point around $32K makes really good sense! | ||
