I always ask the use case before starting a job because the use case determines how I approach the scan.

example, if its for a remodel and there's people around I won't necessarily care to avoid scanning people.

If its for marketing the best tour would be with no people showing on it.

@DanSmigrod I also ask because Real Estate is definitely different than AEC like @TomSparks pointed but also I look at it if the data is going to be used for AEC I might over scan or increase the scan density so that the point cloud would provide enough data for the architect or engineer to have more than enough to use.
