The DJI Neo looks interesting ~ Nothing official at the moment but, retail packaging leads me to believe it could be ready to ship. A drone at this price and size I'd be more open to flying in some of those tighter spaces with concern over loosing the bird. https://www.notebookcheck.net/DJI-Neo-Retail-packaging-images-confirm-specs-for-new-pocket-sized-and-lightweight-drone.870126.0.html |

@lilnitsch definitely will be watching, this would definitely be an indoor contender for me, just need to see obstacle avoidance and how easy it is to manipulate settings.

@ron0987 I do believe the obstacle avoidance on the Neo is just the cage around the props so, no sensors beeping at you

@lilnitsch ya, I tried this on the Mini Pro 4 and was stopped in my tracks as soon as I came to a doorway. I did the research and saw the list of features that need to be disabled to fly indoor. Nice but I came to the conclusion that because I do so much exterior work I did not want to go thru the hassle of always changing the settings. If I miss one setting that could lead to a fly away or crash. I also know for me the indoor drone would be for grand video shots in large entry ways or large rooms because everything else will be captured with a gimble and camera. So not sure if the investment is worth it just yet.

@ron0987 My thoughts on this little drone is "tip toeing" into FPV for some more unique shots. This will not replace anything I am currently flying |
