I'm loving my new Pro3 camera. It's night/day vs the Theta Z1 I was using before...but I guess for the price it should be! lol

Quick question to all the Pro2/Pro3 users. When I was using my Theta Z1 I would never consider going outside. I would scan interior only and create links on doors to 360 views that I took with the camera. Now with the Pro3...it handles outdoor spaces so well, that I'm just walking outside with scans and even go around the building in some cases on the exterior.

If you are scanning exterior spaces...is there standard practice for where to trim? It might just be personal preference, but I was just curious what others are doing.

All depends on your scan. If it is residential or commercial property you may want to trim for a nice display. Otherwise if your scan is clean around with curves, you should be fine. You can always trim at anytime for editing.

I trim everything to make a nice 3D dollhouse as I do not want my name behind something that is not looking nice. At the end of the day it takes 5-10 minutes before processing and about the same after.
