At the risk of sharing my lack of technical prowess, How difficult is it to insert a Showcase into a Real Estate Listing? Does the Showcase have to be converted into a video first?

I'm sure it depends on each real estate association's individual MLS system that they use.

It was reported last April that the San Francisco Association of Realtors was the first "to make Matterport 3D models directly available ... allowing for easy one-step syndication of Matterport 3D models across all listings"

Where I'm located, REALTORS can add the website address for a hosted model into a "Virtual Tour" area, and then the general public can click on a multi media icon to view it. Typically this is used for "Single Property Websites", but it works well for the Matterport Showcases.

Our MLS in Las Vegas has a field to add a non-branded link and another field to add a branded link. I copy the matterport link into those fields. I have a branded and non-branded link for each scan. I also make sure the client puts their matterport link into Zillow,Trulia and Realtor.com. Just go to the profile and click edit listing and enter the matterport link in the virtual tour field and make sure you save. If you have your link in the MLS it appears that Homes.com has the link through syndication of the listing information. I hope this will help.

Thank Dave
Our Toronto Real Estate Board has 44,000 members
We just copy and paste the URL as an unbranded Video into the line marked Virtual Tour.

I add a photo the photo array that simply says
PLEASE see Virtual Tour

@cswartz

Great question.

While the easy answer may be, "use the Matterport 3D Showcase link" - unbranded for MLS - you may want to consider various Matterport 3rd Party Solutions Providers:

1. Content Management Systems (CMS)
2. Single Property Websites

(Some) Benefits of Using 3rd Party Solutions Include

1. Easy to create branded and non-branded links
2. Include a "single property website" that includes:

a. 3D Showcase
b. Photos
c. Video
d. Floor Plans
e. Annotation (once Mattertags launches)
3. Statistics
4. Improve your SEO
5. Responsive design embed code
