Realsee Galois P4 Bay Area Beta Test: Test the Camera Free on Your Own Space

Realsee has sent me a loaner Galois P4 3D LiDAR camera for beta testing in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you have a space you would like to scan with the P4, simply private message me the details. I will arrange to meet up with you and let you test the Galois P4 for a few days. That easy. PM me for more information.

What is the Realsee Galois P4?

The Realsee Galois P4 is a professional 3D LiDAR camera built for 24K virtual tours, dense point clouds, 3D models, CAD-ready outputs, floor plans and digital twin workflows. It pairs a 905nm LiDAR sensor with a 4/3-inch CMOS imaging module and completes a single-position scan in roughly 16 seconds. One scan produces the tour, the point cloud and the floor plan together.

Who can participate in the Bay Area beta test?

The beta test is open to WGAN members with a space in the greater San Francisco Bay Area or Northern California. That includes Fairfield, Vacaville, Suisun City, Benicia, Vallejo, Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Walnut Creek, Concord, Antioch, Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, San Rafael, San Jose, Livermore, Pleasanton, Davis and Sacramento.

What kinds of spaces work best for a Galois P4 test scan?

Almost anything with interior volume. Residential listings, apartments and multifamily units, retail showrooms, restaurants, gyms and fitness studios, warehouses, offices, schools, churches, event venues, museums, medical suites and construction sites are all good candidates. Larger and more complex spaces are especially useful for beta testing, because they push the LiDAR range, the stitching and the floor plan output harder than a small condo does.

How does the loaner process work?

1. Private message me here on the WGAN Forum with your name, the property type, the approximate square footage and the city.
2. I confirm a date and we meet up somewhere convenient.
3. I hand off the Galois P4 and walk you through the workflow.
4. You keep the camera for a few days and scan your space.
5. We meet back up, return the gear and talk through what you found.

There is no cost to participate. The only thing I ask is honest feedback on the camera, the app and the output quality, since that is the entire point of a beta test.

Why is a Bay Area beta test worth doing?

Spec sheets do not tell you how a camera behaves in a dark 1960s ranch house, a glass-walled office lobby or a 40,000 square foot warehouse. Hands-on time on your own real jobs is the only way to know whether the Galois P4 fits your workflow, your turnaround times and your clients' expectations. This is a chance to find that out before spending money.

How much does the Realsee Galois P4 cost?

The Galois P4 Standard Kit lists at approximately $7,499 USD, with a Premium Kit available that includes additional hosting and download credits. Pricing and kit contents can change, so confirm current pricing with Realsee before purchasing.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need prior 3D scanning experience? No. The Galois P4 has an onboard touchscreen and can capture without an external device. I will walk you through the basics at handoff.

How long can I keep the camera? A few days, typically over a weekend or across a short window that works for both of us. Exact timing depends on the beta test queue.

Can I use the scans commercially? Talk to me when you PM. Delivering a beta test scan to a paying client raises hosting and licensing questions worth sorting out up front.

How do I claim a slot? Private message me on the WGAN Forum with your space details. Slots are limited and scheduled in the order requests come in.
