Hey, Does anyone know if the Atome 360 Pano Head company is still in business? My pano head is 7+ years old and I would love an upgrade. Are there any other options? Thanks, |

I saw Atom heads on ebay. They look to be quite expensive for what they are. Check this out. There are a few of them and they are quite affordable. I have their single and double axis rotators. They do exactly what they have been designed for. A lot of users around and we have a group on Facebook. btw, at some point I was against manual rotators as it is easy to get distracted during one 360 capture and then you scratch your head thinking "have I done this position or just rotated the head there?" It happened to me once and later I realised that I captured one side twice a few times. However after using an automated rotator in areas with some people walking around you start to think that it would be better to do it with a manual one... simply because you can stop and wait till somebody is out of a frame and then trigger capture. |

It's the best manual 360 rig going, Its sad that the chap could not make a go of it. I have the complete unit set 8mm Canon lens. It's built like a tank so I'm surprised yours has warn out. PM me as I'm open to selling it. I also have the Sigma 8mm f3.5 EX DG fisheye that I would consider selling with a Canon mount. Both are in excellent condition. | ||
